Wysoki Kamień Peak
Wind skims the rough granite and low mountain pines as the path crests Wysoki Kamień, a rocky 1,058‑metre summit with a broad sweep of sky. From this crown, horizons open: the undulating shoulders of the Izera Mountains nearby and, farther off, the long, serrated line of the Karkonosze. A PTTK mountain hut keeps quiet company near the top, a familiar landmark to walkers. On clear days the air turns crystalline and distances seem to pull closer; in autumn, the light softens and the rocks glow warm.
Most visitors arrive on well-trodden forest paths, climbing steadily before stepping out onto stone and heath for the final meters. Dawn brings gentle color and solitude; sunset unwraps silhouettes and long shadows. In winter, the summit can be windswept and stark, rewarding patience with far-reaching views; in summer, the ridge invites unhurried lingering. However you time it, Wysoki Kamień sits neatly in the Świeradów‑Zdrój experience—an accessible Izera high point where the land opens, the weather speaks, and the day’s walk finds its natural pause.
