Złotniki Reservoir
Breeze ruffles the surface of Złotniki Reservoir as sails tilt and right themselves, and the soft slap of waves reaches the piney shore. Spanning a broad bend of the Kwisa south of Świeradów-Zdrój, this lake draws swimmers to its clear shallows and boaters to the open water. On still mornings the reservoir is glassy and inviting for a first dip or an unhurried paddle; by afternoon, a livelier breeze often sets local sailing centres in motion and speckles the expanse with moving triangles of white.
Visitors fan out along the irregular shoreline to find quiet clearings for sun or shade, slip into the water for a swim, set off by kayak onto the Kwisa, or simply watch light skitter across the surface. Spring feels fresh, with brisk water and birdsong in the trees; summer hums with activity; autumn casts copper reflections when the surrounding hills turn. As part of an Izera Mountains itinerary from Świeradów-Zdrój, Złotniki Reservoir is a gentle waterside counterpoint to forested ridges — an easy place to slow down between hikes and scenic drives.
